Chris Cline, M.S.
Chris Cline was a military brat who ended up in Utah and fell in love with it and never left. After college she raced bicycles and was a backcountry guide before getting a job as a water quality monitor and stumbling into a career she loved. She returned to graduate school after 7 years with the State of Utah and got a M.S. in Environmental Toxicology from Clemson University. She recently retired from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, where she helped evaluate environmental contamination and plan cleanups, and was a habitat restoration project manager for the U.S. Department of Interior’s Natural Resource Damage Assessment and Restoration (NRDAR) program. While doing the latter she had the opportunity over 20 years to participate in the development of “communities of restoration” in northern Utah. She collaborated with a wide range of partners and stakeholders to plan and implement large-scale river restoration projects and stewardship of the Great Salt Lake.
Chris still loves being outside playing on land or water, and just sitting there watching the natural world happen around her.
