2025 Community Science Training

Interested in making a positive impact for Utah’s amphibians? Join Utah’s Hogle Zoo, Sageland Collaborative, and the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources this summer to scour high alpine wetlands across the state in search of the elusive western (boreal) toad this summer!

When: Saturday, March 29, 2025, 9am-12pm
Where: Rendezoo Room at Utah’s Hogle Zoo, Salt Lake City, Utah

Light refreshments will be provided, and participants are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle and note-taking materials. The training will be held indoors with a partial outdoor component — please dress accordingly!

Training videos will be available following the event for participants who are unable to attend in-person. Volunteers must attend either the in-person training or watch the training videos to participate in group or independent surveys.
