Bobby Boone, M.S.
Bobby Boone is a biostatistician living in Salt Lake City, Utah. He earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from TCU and a master’s degree in Biostatistics from Duke University. Professionally, he does statistical design and analysis for clinical trials and medical research.
Bobby has conducted fieldwork surveying trout habitat in college, an experience that deepened his appreciation for the connections between wildlife and healthy ecosystems.
An avid fly angler for more than 20 years, Bobby has a particular passion for native cutthroat trout and their unique conservation history. For him, fly fishing is a way to connect with the natural world, observe wildlife, and experience the places that sustain them. That passion takes him throughout the American West and around the world in pursuit of wild fish and wild places. When not on the water, he can usually be found climbing, playing hockey, cooking, hanging out with friends, or exploring somewhere new with his wife, Natalie.
Bobby is excited to bring his scientific and analytical background together with his lifelong passion for wildlife and conservation to help protect the landscapes and ecosystems of Utah and the West.
