Weeding dates/times:
April 24th 10am-1pm
May 8th 10am -1pm
May 29th 10am-1pm
June 12th 10am-1pm
June 26th 10am-1pm
We will work rain, heat or shine. Please plan to dress for the temperature and bugs with a hat, sleeves and sunscreen, as shade will be limited. Please be prepared to the best of your abilities. Bring solid shoes that can get wet, work gloves, tools/supplies. We will have back-ups available. Come ready to weed. Thank you!
Schedule for volunteer days:
First 30 mins will be WELCOME CEREMONY, SAFETY TALK, and INSTRUCTIONS then disperse to weeding areas. *Please arrive at least 10 mins early so we can get started on time. Parking is limited, we encourage carpooling when possible.
Next 1.5-2 hours weeding and working.
Food break and mingling, (approx. middle of event timeframe) Please bring a sack lunch. We will provide fruit/veggies, light snacks and water refills. Time to reapply sunscreen and enjoy conversation.
Back to weeding for last 30-60 mins. Those that can stay until the end of event (or 30 mins longer to 1:30), we'll have staff and supplies available until then.
