Kelly Geronime

Kelly Geronime's path to conservation started on a trail crew. She spent two seasons with Rocky Mountain Youth Corps in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, first as a crew member and then as a crew leader. Her crews built trails, reduced wildfire fuels, and worked alongside the U.S. Forest Service to protect watersheds on the Western Slope. In 2023, a visit to family in Ogden turned into a move: she fell for the wild landscapes of northern Utah and has called it home ever since. She's especially invested in how Utah manages its water, from Great Salt Lake to the rivers that feed it.

Kelly is the Head of Growth and Communications at Argo Navigation, a boating navigation app. She was its first marketing hire and has helped grow it to nearly 400,000 users. Her work blends storytelling, data, and relationship-building. She joined the Board hoping to put that mix to work helping Sageland reach new supporters and build the partnerships that keep its field work going.

Kelly studied economics and international relations at Florida State University, with semesters abroad in Spain and Panama. Outside of work, she teaches snowboarding at Powder Mountain, volunteers at Steep Mountain Farm in Wellsville, and spends as much time as she can backpacking and exploring the mountains and deserts with her husband.
