Latino Conservation Week: Disfrutando y Conservando Nuestra Tierra is an initiative of Hispanic Access Foundation. Latino Conservation Week was created to support the Latinx community getting into the outdoors and participating in activities to protect our natural resources.
During this week many different organizations and agencies hold events throughout the country. Check out all the events going on in Utah below!
Sageland Collaborative is celebrating con un Noche de Murciélagos: a celebratory and educational event focused on Utah's nocturnal wildlife! We will have charlas con biólogos y actividades para toda la familia. Aprenda a como usar equipo para escuchar murciélagos y buscar insectos nocturnos! We will also have community and conservation partners joining us with other activities and resources.

SLCC Native Indigenous Student Union in partnership with Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance (SUWA) invites you to a Latino Conservation Week Festival. Become a part of our Latino Conservation Week celebration and help us honor cultures, foster environmental awareness, and encourage community engagement in conservation efforts. Together, we can inspire long-term stewardship of our natural resources. 9/18, 2-8pm. Salt Lake Community College, Taylorsville Redwood Campus.
9/19-9/20 - Stewardship Trips to Moab area hosted by SUWA
The Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance is organizing two camp outs as part of Latino Conservation Week on September 19-21.
1) One will be a Stewardship project that includes camping and rafting! You will be cleaning and repairing areas along the Dolores River.
2) The other trip will be for those wanting an introductory camping experience or who want to get to know the Moab area. We will be camping in the cool La Sal Mountains and visiting some of the hot, rocky areas of Moab. For more information click here.
