Legacy Gifts: A Lasting Commitment to Conservation

Legacy gifts are an essential part of ensuring the long-term success and sustainability of Sageland Collaborative’s mission. By including Sageland Collaborative in your estate planning, you are making a lasting commitment to preserving the unique landscapes in Utah and the Intermountain West. Your legacy gift will support critical conservation initiatives, such as restoring habitats through riverscape restoration, increasing biodiversity and populations of special-status species, and ensuring wildlife species have pathways to move freely across the landscape. These contributions provide an enduring foundation of support that amplifies our impact into the future.

Your gift truly has the power to make a lasting difference.

A legacy gift, often made through a bequest in your will or estate plan, enables you to contribute significantly after your lifetime. This type of gift enables us to fully fund large-scale, long-term initiatives from research to execution.

Anyone Can Make a Bequest or Legacy Gift

Legacy gifts are accessible to anyone, regardless of financial means. It doesn’t require wealth, and it doesn’t cost anything now. You can also change your mind at any time by simply revising your will.

Bequests are often the simplest way to make a significant contribution to Sageland Collaborative’s as we move toward a future where our communities thrive based on interconnected ecosystems, wildlife, and people.

You can also leave a gift through your retirement plan or part of your IRA. Simply notify your plan’s administrator and complete a change of beneficiary form to designate Sageland Collaborative as a beneficiary—either fully or partially.

A life insurance policy can also be a vehicle for legacy giving. You can name Sageland Collaborative as the primary or partial beneficiary by completing a beneficiary change form with your insurance company. If you no longer need the policy proceeds in your estate, you can transfer the ownership to Sageland Collaborative.
