Bumbling into Pollinator Season!
Do you feel it? The warm kiss of the sun on your face, the fresh aroma of early spring flowers, and the reverberating buzz in the air? It's spring, and that means pollinator season has arrived!
On a recent walk along the Bonneville Shoreline Trail near Utah's Natural History Museum, the air was alive with butterflies. Anise swallowtails and California tortoiseshells painted the trail yellow and orange, and our community of pollinator enthusiasts are already logging observations like these across the state!
Last year, over 14,000 pollinator observations in Utah were logged in iNaturalist. Can you help us exceed that this year?
2025 Volunteer Training
We are thrilled to be bringing Utah Pollinator Pursuit and the Mountain States Bumble Bee Atlas together for a joint training this spring!
Learn from project coordinators and connect with fellow pollinator enthusiasts while learning the what, why, and how of these two community science projects.
When: Saturday, May 10, 2025, 10am-2pm
Where: Tracy Aviary’s Nature Center at Pia Okwai, Salt Lake City, UT
This training is free, but folks must register in advance! Space is limited to 30 participants, so be RSVP today to secure your spot!
How to Get Started
Want to get oriented with these community science projects ahead of the training? Or perhaps you're unable to join us in person? Here's how you can get started:
