Training Follow-Up: Where to Go From Here
First Week on Wasatch Wildlife Watch
A successfully placed wildlife camera.
Thank you for attending our Wasatch Wildlife Watch Web Training! Though we missed meeting volunteers in person, we loved getting to interact virtually as well as at a distance during camera pickups. Thank you as well to everyone who has picked up your cameras—we currently have 78 cameras assigned, which is the largest number we've ever had.
If you're interested in taking on another camera, we may have a few available, pending responses from volunteers. Please email Austin Green at austin.m.green2015@gmail.com for more information.
Post-Training Survey
As we reflect on our web training and work on upcoming web events, we'd love your feedback. Please take a few minutes to fill out the post-training survey so we can improve future trainings.
Volunteer Resources
Heading into the first week of the field season, we want to make sure you have everything you need to be successful. Visit our project page for updates throughout the season. For materials you may want to print off, visit our eMammal page.
Additionally, if you missed the training, you can still watch the recorded web training to get oriented and start gathering data to conserve Utah's wildlife. So you can better navigate the sections, there’s a timeline of the video included in the caption on YouTube. There, you can click on a section and it will automatically navigate to that part of the video.
To view similar training information without the Q&A and cut into smaller sections, view our training video playlist.
If you have any questions as you're getting started with the season, please don't hesitate to contact Austin Green, who can be reached at austin.m.green2015@gmail.com or 801-577-6548.
Coming Soon...
We're planning a mid-season informational Wildlife Habitat Connectivity presentation, so stay tuned for details!
Additionally, if you have friends or family who would like to be involved in this project, don't forget that we'll need lots of help analyzing image data in the fall. Encourage them to visit our website and sign up to receive more information.
Thank You
Thank you for everything you do for the conservation of native wildlife in the Wasatch. This landscape-scale project depends on volunteers like you.
