Restoration Rooted in Community

Celebrating 30 years of community-based conservation

This year marks Sageland Collaborative’s 30th anniversary!

We’ve gone through some changes (hello, rebrand!) and we’ve experienced the highs and lows that go hand-in-hand with working in conservation. But what truly grounds us in this work is… you!

It’s through our community of volunteers, partners, donors, and neighbors that we’re able to realize our ambitious goals year after year. Every beaver dam analog built to every dollar donated, every hour spent troubleshooting conservation challenges and each moment we get to connect with folks at outreach events, it all means the world to us.

From the bottom of our pronghorn hearts – thank you!

We’ll be celebrating all year long and we cannot wait to share what we’ve got in store for our big anniversary.

p.s. Tune into KUER during your morning & evening commute to hear a special message from Sageland Collaborative!

Get Involved in Wildlife Conservation

As our beloved shorebirds travel up the Pacific Flyway, mountain streams thaw out and recharge with runoff, and pollinators emerge from their safe winter havens... we breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that field season is nearly here!

We'll be announcing even more ways to get involved in the coming weeks! In the meantime, browse our current programs and events calendar to start planning out your 2026 field season.

Calling all Artists!

We're excited to launch our Sci-Art Initiative, a program that provides opportunities to artists interested in exploring the intersection of science & art!

We especially seek to amplify artists with connections to Salt Lake City’s West Side communities.
