The Sageland Collaborative team ended 2025 feeling, above all, grateful.

Grateful for the countless ways that our community continued to show up for the wildlife and landscapes that unite us.

Grateful for the resiliency which our staff and partners faced challenges in federal funding and staff cuts.

Grateful for the opportunity to work towards our mission again this year.

We're finalizing our program plans for 2026 and we've got big plans and opportunities for you to get involved in wildlife conservation this year — from outreach events like our Pollinator Pride Party and volunteer stream restoration to amphibian bioblitzes, this is shaping up to be another impactful year. We hope you'll be a part of it!

Save the Date for Shorebirds!

Are you passionate about shorebirds and Great Salt Lake?

If so, save the date for Utah's upcoming Intermountain West Shorebird Survey, happening Saturday, April 25th (backup date: May 2nd.)

We're seeking experienced birders to help us count shorebirds and White-faced Ibis at wetland sites around the state as part of a region-wide effort to understand shorebird populations and distribution.

Sign-ups open on February 11th. Join the project email list to get an update when sign-ups go live!

Got Beaver Issues?

If you're experiencing beaver-related issues on your property, Sageland Collaborative's team of professionals is here to support by sharing non-lethal beaver coexistence strategies. Fill out the form below, or pass along to someone who may find this useful!

To learn more about beaver coexistence techniques and the role beavers play in creating healthy ecosystems, check out Shane Hill's presentation from the 2025 Salt Lake County Watershed Symposium!
