It's Restoration Season!
Plus, save the date for our end of season celebration, bring the wonder of shorebirds home, and connect with us at an upcoming event.
At the beginning of this month, we kicked off restoration season by removing 1.6 miles of woven wire fence near Strawberry Reservoir, reconnecting 6,000+ acres of habitat for mule deer, elk, and sage grouse.
This would not have been possible without our partners at Utah Backcountry Hunters & Anglers, Utah Division of Wildlife Resource's Dedicated Hunters, U.S. Forest Service, and 50 volunteers who joined us over 2 days.
Thank you to the National Forest Foundation and the U.S. Forest Service for their support of this restoration event.

This fence pull was just the start of our favorite season, and we've got plenty of opportunities for you to join us in the field! Join us and our conservation partners to remove old fencing, build beaver dam analogs, or plant native trees and seedlings.
These hands-on restoration activities are the perfect way to make a tangible impact on the wildlife and landscapes that we love.

Visit the Sci-Art Gallery Exhibit
We had a great time celebrating shorebirds, Great Salt Lake, and art at the Sci-Art Gallery opening last month! If you were unable to make it, no worries! Artwork will be on display at the Sorenson Unity Center gallery through August 19th. The gallery is open to the public and there is no entry fee.
Select artworks from the Sci-Art Gallery have also been donated to fundraise for Sageland's conservation work! The online auction is live now through September 16, 2026 and you can view and bid on the pieces here.

Our new 30th Anniversary t-shirts, designed by Frances Cabrera Ngo, highlight species of the Intermountain West and the tools we use to conserve them. Each purchase supports wildlife conservation and allows us to engage communities in hands-on restoration work!
