Ask any conservationist, and they’ll agree on at least one thing: in nature, everything is connected. Whether focusing on fire management, bear population monitoring, human recreation, or the tiniest microbialites in Great Salt Lake, they know that pulling on one thread in the landscape brings all kinds of connected species, processes, and habitats with it.
Despite the complexity of this interwoven world, one vibrant thread is perhaps easier to pick out than others as a connector: water. In our recent blog post, we explore how water connects our projects and approaches to conservation.

Action Alert: Recovering America's Wildlife Act
The US House of Representatives has passed the Recovering America's Wildlife Act (RAWA), which now needs to move to the Senate. This would represent the most significant increase in funding for wildlife conservation in a generation. Will you join our team in supporting this act?
What is it? RAWA provides funding for the conservation and management of wildlife and plant species of greatest conservation need, including endangered or threatened species. This supports agency and nonprofit partnership efforts—like Sageland Collaborative engages in—to conserve and monitor these at-risk species. Our team feels strongly that its success is critical.
How do I get involved? Please join us and contact your senators to urge them to support RAWA and the conservation of the wildlife and plants we all love. Learn more.
