With COVID-19's sweeping impacts on our daily lives and the uncertainty it can bring, we wanted to keep you updated on our Pollinator Project and what you can expect in the coming weeks.

First, the Pollinator Pursuit project is still active. Because it can be done safely while following social distancing recommendations from the Center for Disease Control, we're going ahead with our community science work on the project.

However, to keep our volunteers and staff healthy, the volunteer training for the project will not be in person, as planned. We'll be hosting an online webinar instead.

Volunteer Training Webinar

What: A webinar to learn how to recognize all stages of monarch butterflies, identify milkweeds, and use a new protocol for gathering bumble bee occurrence information. We'll answer your questions and get you all the information you need so you can begin collecting the data that is so crucial to the well-being of these pollinators.

When: April 15, 2020, 5:30-7:30

You can expect further information, including training materials and the webinar link, in your inbox soon.

Thank You

Thank you for everything you do to conserve our special insects in the West. This project wouldn’t be possible without you.

Please feel free to forward this email to anyone you think would be interested in volunteering. Don't hesitate to email us at info@wildutahproject.org with any questions.

Please stay safe and healthy, and for now, we hope the beautiful bumble bee photo below brightens your day a bit.
