How to Start Conserving Pollinators

Utah Pollinator Pursuit Web Training

Thank you for attending our Pollinator Pursuit Web Training! We were excited to have 77 amazing volunteers in attendance, making it our biggest pollinator training yet.

Post-Training Survey

As we reflect on our first-ever web training and work on our upcoming web events, we'd love your feedback. Please take a few minutes to fill out our survey so we can improve our upcoming web events.

Volunteer Resources

As you begin gathering observations to conserve pollinators, we want to make sure you have everything you need to be successful. Get started on the "Get Involved" page of the Utah Pollinator Pursuit website to access all the resources you need at your fingertips!

Please note that our Utah Pollinator Pursuit page is currently under construction.

Missed our community science web training? No problem! Watch the recorded web training below to get oriented.

For support downloading and using the Survey123 appview the training videos on the website. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you need support.

Assigned and Self-Selected Sites

We've made site assignments on a first-come-first-serve basis and based on the county you live in and preferences you indicated when you signed up to learn more about the project. However, since there are more interested volunteers than pre-selected sites in some counties, not everyone is on the sheet.

If your name is not on the list, you are welcome to do one of more of the following:

  • Add your name to an available stewardship site

  • Create your own stewardship site near you or in a location you are interested in traveling to multiple times during the growing season, then add it to the sheet

  • Do opportunistic surveys whenever you encounter monarchs or bumble bees

If you would like support in selecting a stewardship site for monarchs and/or bumble bees, please contact Mindy at mindywheeler@utah.gov or Amanda at abarth@utah.gov.

To view your site, choose a different site, or add your own site to the list, please visit the site assignment sheet.

Thank You
